The body is soft non-woven fabric — chosen over plastic and cardboard for two reasons. It does not rattle or slide when the drawer is opened hard, and it does not crack at the folds the way vacuum-formed plastic trays do. Each divider is stitched rather than glued, so the grid keeps its geometry after hundreds of drawer pulls, and the whole unit is light enough to lift out of the drawer in one hand when you change the linen.
